Vipers SC Stun KCCA FC as UPPC FC Clinches Thrilling 4-2 Win Over Calvary

The Startimes Uganda Premier League delivered two thrilling matches today, with Vipers SC defeating KCCA FC 1-0 and Entebbe UPPC FC cruising to a 4-2 victory over Calvary FC.

At St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende, Vipers SC maintained their winning streak, thanks to Allan Okello’s 33rd-minute goal, which capitalized on a mistake by KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago.

This win marks Vipers SC’s second victory this season, with both wins coming via identical 1-0 scores, and they’ve kept two clean sheets.

KCCA FC, on the other hand, suffered their first loss of the season, but still lead the table with 11 points from six matches. Vipers SC are 10th with six points from two matches.

In the other match, Entebbe UPPC FC enjoyed a successful outing against Calvary FC, with Kawawa Samuel striking first in the 39th minute.

Hassan Ssenyonjjo doubled their lead five minutes after the restart, but John Rogers pulled one back for Calvary FC two minutes later.

New signing forward Kigozi Ambrose scored his debut goal for Entebbe UPPC FC in the 67th minute, and Muhammad Kyeyune added the fourth goal for Entebbe UPPC FC a minute later. Lawrence Olaboro scored the second goal for Entebbe UPPC FC in the 71st minute, securing a 4-2 win.

Calvary FC, who played their first-ever home game in the Uganda Premier League this season, are struggling at the bottom of the table with one draw and five losses. Their previous matches include a 2-1 loss to Lugazi FC, a 2-0 loss to Buhimba, and a 0-0 draw with Maroons.

The wins and losses continue to pile up in the Uganda Premier League, with more exciting matches on the horizon.
