FUFA Big League: Wakiso Giants FC and Blacks Power FC Claim Thrilling Wins As Ntugasaze FC Drops Points.

Wakiso Giants FC returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bunyaruguru United at Hamz Stadium. Gerald Ogweti gave Bunyaruguru United an early lead in the 2nd minute, but Wakiso Giants FC fought back to equalize through Bashir Mutunda in the 34th minute.

David Opio scored the second goal for Bunyaruguru United, but Wakiso Giants FC equalized again through Mutunda’s penalty kick in the 50th minute. Mutunda completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute to seal the victory for Wakiso Giants.

Wakiso Giants have moved out of relegation sitting 11th on table with 31 points from 27 matches.

In other matches, Ntugasaze Football Club dropped two points in their goalless draw against Kaaro Karungi FC at Kavumba Recreation Grounds. The result hindered Ntugasaze FC’s promotional hopes, while Kaaro Karungi FC can build on the away point as they try to avoid relegation.

Blacks Power FC increased their chances of promotion with a 2-1 win over Nebbi Central FC at Ebenezer University Ground.

Isaac Okello and Paul Oonyu scored for Blacks Power FC, who now sit on top of the table with 51 points from 27 matches.

Iganga United FC shared the spoils 1-1 with Soltilo Bright Stars FC at Iganga Saza Grounds. Iganga United remains 10th on the table with 32 points, while Soltilo Bright Stars FC sit 14th with 29 points, currently in the relegation zone.

Kataka FC defeated Young Elephants FC 2-0 at Mbale Stadium, with Ali Ssentamu and Samuel Watuwa scoring for the winners.
