Vipers SC Extended Unbeaten Run to Nine Matches

In a pulsating encounter at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende, Vipers SC extended their unbeaten run to nine matches, defeating BUL FC 3-1 in a hard-fought contest. The first half was a cagey affair, with both teams canceling each other out, resulting in a goalless draw at the break.

However, the second half was a different story altogether. Three minutes into the restart, Enock Ssebagala unleashed a thunderbolt from outside the box, beating BUL FC’s goalkeeper Tom Ikara to give Vipers SC the lead.

Eight minutes later, Jerome Kirya equalized for BUL FC, but Vipers SC regained the lead via a Karim Watambala penalty after BUL FC defender handled the ball in the penalty area.

Vipers SC sealed the win through Usama Arafat’s third goal of the season, capitalizing on a defensive mix-up. With this win, Vipers SC have now won six matches and drawn three, sitting second on the table with 21 points.

Paul Patrick Mbowa, who was deployed in the defensive midfield role, was voted the Man of the Match.

Calvary FC Held Mbarara City FC to 1-1 Draw

In another match, Calvary FC shared spoils with Mbarara City FC, drawing 1-1 at Midigo Primary School playground.

Ibrahim Dada converted from the spot in the 53rd minute to give Calvary FC the lead, but Mbarara City FC leveled matters eleven minutes later through Stephen Oriokot’s own goal, denying his side the first victory of the season.

Both Calvary FC and Mbarara City FC are in the relegation zone, with Calvary FC having three points and Mbarara City FC having seven points from 10 matches.

  • Vipers SC will return to action away to Lugazi FC at Najjembe Stadium on December 17, while BUL FC will host Police FC on December 16.
