Despite having a numerical advantage, URA FC failed to capitalize further, and the result was a fair reflection of the game.
The draw sees Kitara FC remain second on the table with 36 points from 17 matches, while URA FC moves off the bottom with 15 points. For coach Hussein Mbalangu, the result is a welcome relief, ending an eight-match goalless streak in the Uganda Premier League.
Coach Hussein Mbalangu expressed satisfaction with URA FC’s performance, saying they had been working with the forwards and it was paying off. “We have got a goal and a point, and they work we have been doing with the forwards, it will eventually pay off,” he said.

Mbalangu emphasized the importance of taking points from every game, stating, “Every game we want points or a point because this is a final round, so we don’t want to lose any game.” He praised the team’s fitness and shape, adding, “The boys are responding very well, they are okay, very fit, can move 90 minutes.”
Mbalangu was happy with the goal after eight matches without scoring, attributing it to teamwork, “The midfielder is the one who scored the goal because it’s a general team work where everyone is involved. It’s not only the striker to score. Everyone who gets a chance must score, so at least slowly we will catch up.”
