Entebbe UPPC FC Stunned KCCA FC, Closed Gap.
In a highly anticipated match, Entebbe UPPC FC upset hosts KCCA FC 1-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.
The lone goal, scored by Ambrose Kigozi in the 45th minute, was enough to secure the win for Entebbe UPPC FC. Kigozi, who led the scoring charts with 8 goals, controlled a long ball from Isa Mubiru and slotted it into the net.
This victory saw Entebbe UPPC FC complete their first-round matches with 30 points, sitting second on the table, while KCCA FC dropped to third with 30 points from 15 matches.

Notably, Entebbe UPPC FC’s win was a sweet revenge for coach Abdullah Mubiru, who faced his former employers. Players like Julius Poloto, Munguchi Steven, Isa Mubiru, and Mujjuzi Mustapha, who had previously played for KCCA FC, were part of the Entebbe UPPC FC squad that took down their former side.
KCCA FC need to regroup and find consistency in their results if they were to mount a serious title challenge in the second round.

BUL FC Edged UPDF FC, Moved Up the Table.
In a tightly contested match, BUL FC edged relegation-threatened UPDF FC 1-0 at the Bombo Military Barracks ground. Karim Ndugwa’s 35th-minute strike secured the win for BUL FC, marking coach Alex Isabirye’s third victory since taking the reins.
This win lifted BUL FC to seventh place with 19 points from 15 matches, while UPDF FC remained in the relegation zone with 11 points from 15 matches.

Coach Alex Isabirye said, “I’m happy with the 1-0 win over UPDF. This is one of the toughest pitches for me, Bombo Military Barracks ground, and I think this is my third win here in Bombo. We lost against Lugazi FC, but as I told you, it was a bad day, and I was sure we’d come back stronger and get back to winning ways. The game wasn’t easy, but as we all saw, the character was good, and the boys knew what to do.”
