The appointment is another opportunity for Ugandan match officials to represent the country on the continental stage, reinforcing Uganda’s presence in African football through officiating.
For Kasalirwe, Katenya, Okudra and Okello, the assignment represents more than an individual professional achievement. It is an opportunity to contribute to Uganda’s growing visibility in continental football and demonstrate the quality, discipline and professionalism of its refereeing fraternity.
As Uganda continues to pursue greater recognition across African football, international appointments of this nature remain important in building the country’s reputation beyond the playing field.
