Ugandan Players Shine Abroad
The week was filled with action-packed performances from Ugandan players plying their trade in various leagues around the world.

Here’s a roundup of their standout moments:
Tunisia and Kenya
In Tunisia, Travis Mutyaba continued to impress, playing the full 90 minutes for CS Sfaxien in their 0-0 draw with Stade Tunisien on Wednesday.

Four days later, Mutyaba was again a fixture in the CS Sfaxien lineup as they faced off against Esperance in the highly anticipated Tunisian El Clasico, although they lost 2-1.
Meanwhile, in Kenya, Bronson Nsubuga featured prominently for Shabana FC in their 2-1 loss to AFC Leopards on Tuesday. Samuel Ssenyonjo also turned out for AFC Leopards in the same match.

On Sunday, Denis Iguma played a key role for Tusker FC as they secured a 1-1 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz Football Club.
Additionally, defender Edward Masembe featured for APS Bomet in their goalless draw with Bidco Kenya.
Sam Ssenyonjo, on the other hand, was an unused substitute for AFC Leopards as they edged out Mathare United 2-1 in a closely contested match yesterday.

Women’s Football
In the Kenyan women’s league, Magret Kunihira was unstoppable, scoring a hat-trick for Kenya Police Bullets FC in their 6-0 thrashing of Gideon’s Starlets.
Zainah Namuleme also chipped in with a goal, while Desire Natoro featured prominently for the winning side.

Kunihira’s impressive performance earned her the Woman of the Match award.
Mexico and North Macedonia
In Mexico, Sandra Nabweteme played 60 minutes for Santos Laguna as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Atlas San Luis.
Her efforts were crucial in the attacking third, but her side couldn’t capitalize on their chances.

Over in North Macedonia, Prva Liga saw an exciting match, and in another game, Mato Rogers became the hero for his team, scoring a penalty in the 90+7 minute to seal a win.
This goal took his tally to 10 goals in 11 matches, leaving him just one goal behind current topscorer Bassirou Compaore of FK Struga.

Rwanda and Czech Republic
APR FC shared spoils with Rustiro in a 1-1 draw, with Omedi Denis scoring a crucial goal for APR FC. Hakim Kiwanuka also featured in the match.
Nicholas Ssebwato captained Mukuru Victory as they drew 1-1 with Rwanda Police FC.

In the Czech Republic, Aziz Kayondo played the full match as Slovan Liberic secured a convincing 3-0 win over Slovacko.
England and Denmark
Toby Sibbick was instrumental for Burton Albion as they thrashed St Albans City FC 6-0 in the FA Cup. Nathan Assimwe remained an unused substitute for AFC Wimbledon as they defeated Gateshead 2-0 in the same competition.
In Denmark, Moses Opondo played 79 minutes for Fredericia before being substituted, but unfortunately, his side lost 3-2 to Copenhagen.
Sweden and South Africa
The Swedish leagues saw some exciting action, with John Paul Dembe coming on at the restart of the second half for Haken BK in their 1-1 draw with Malmo in the Allsvenskan. Calvin Kabuye played the full match for Varberg as they lost 2-1 to IK Brage in the Superettan.
In South Africa, Denis Onyango was on the bench for Mamelodi Sundowns as they drew 1-1 with Orlando Pirates.
Scotland and Romania
Jordan Obita played the full 90 minutes for Hibernian as they shared spoils with Livingstone in a 2-2 draw.
In Romania, Elio Capradossi played the full match for United in their 2-0 loss to Steau Bucharest.
Russia and Eswatini
Fauzia Najjembe played 86 minutes for Dinamo Moscow as they secured a 3-1 victory over Rubin Kazan.

The Crested Cranes forward was cautioned in the 64th minute.
In Eswatini, Joel Madondo was absent for Nsingizini Hotspurs as they defeated Ubombo Sugar 2-0.
