TRANSFER: Douglas Ochoko Joins FUFA Big League Side
Forward Douglas Ochoko has completed his move to FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys Football Club, bolstering their attack ahead of the new season.
Last season, the agile forward featured for Rwanda Premier League side Gasogi United FC. Ochoko, known for his pace and powerful shots, first made his name in the Pepsi University Football League while playing for Uganda Martyrs University, where he won both the MVP and Top Scorer awards in 2016.
Since then, he has featured for a number of clubs including ECO FC, K-Smart FC, Fire Fire, Proline FC, BUL FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, Busia Wolves in Kenya and Guinesspor in Turkey Kyambogo in the Nakawa 4th Division among others
Kiyinda Boys, who are under the stewardship of coach Emmy Kisakye, have set their ambition on nothing less than promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. Kisakye previously worked at Express FC, Edgars Youth Programme and Ssingo Ssaza in the prestigious Masaza Cup.
Last season, Kiyinda Boys finished seventh in the FUFA Big League table with 40 points from 30 matches, and they will face stiff competition from Paidha Black Angels SC, Bunyaruguru United and ambitious newly promoted side Volcanoes.
