Title Race Goes To The Wire As Black Stars And Proline Battle For Kampala Region League Crown

The 2025-26 Kampala Region League will wrap up this weekend with the title still hanging in the balance. It comes down to final day drama between Black Stars Football Club and Proline Football Club, with just one point separating the top two.
Black Stars FC lead the table on 51 points after beating Mutungo FC 4-1 in their last outing. They head to Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium on Sunday where they face Edgars Football Club. A win would seal the championship and the UGX 20 million prize money from FUFA for the winners.

One point behind on 50, Proline FC host Born Talent FC at Lugogo MTN Omondi Stadium in what is effectively a must-win match. Proline beat PCCP FC 2-0 last time out and have dominated this fixture this season, recording two wins and one draw in three meetings with Born Talent. Even if Proline win, they will need Black Stars to drop points against Edgars to snatch the title.
Final day fixtures:
Saturday
Lungujja Galaxy vs Buganda Road
Lufula SC vs Kireka United
Lukuli Hearts vs Water FC
Police Young vs Kisugu United
Mbogo vs Nsambya SC
Wembley Boys vs Ntinda United

Sunday
Mutungo FC vs PCCP FC
Edgars FC vs Black Stars FC
Proline FC vs Born Talent FC
Relegation has already been decided. Buganda Road, Lufula SC, Kireka United FC, and Lungujja Galaxy FC have all been demoted to the Kampala Province League.
Sunday’s final match day promises tension at both ends of the table. For Black Stars and Proline, it is 90 minutes that will decide a season’s work and a 20 million shilling reward. One slip, and the title changes hands.
