Niger’s National Team also Known as the Mena , has become the first team to arrive in Kampala, Uganda for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) .

They have landed at Entebbe International Airport around noon Tuesday July 29, 2025 .

Niger secured a spot in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) following their a goalless draw against Togo in their second leg encounter.

The Mena side advanced on the away goals rule, having drawn 1-1 in the first leg played in Lome and the result ensured Niger’s fifth appearance in the CHAN finals .

They will start their campaign on 4th of August 2025 against Guinea at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium Namboole.

Niger is set to participate in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) for the fifth time, facing tough competition in Group C alongside hosts Uganda, Guinea, Algeria, and South Africa.
