Tanzania Truimphs 2-0 Over Burkina Faso In CHAN Opener .

CHAN tournament kicked off today as Tanzania took on Burkina Faso at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Co-host Tanzania have claimed a 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso.

Sopa Abdul who features for Azam scored in the 45th minute of halftime from a spot kick and he became the first player to score at the CHAN 2024 tournament.

Mohamed Hussein found the back of the net to make it 2-0 for Tanzania in the 71st minute.

Today’s win earns Tanzania 3 points, which can be crucial in determining their position in the group standings and potentially advancing to the next stage.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of Tanzania . The Taifa Stars are in group B alongside Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Madagascar.
