The Buganda Region League got underway over the weekend with a series of exciting matches played across various venues, showcasing the best of football talent in the region.
Young Simba FC Edged Manyangwa.
Young Simba FC emerged victorious, defeating Manyangwa 1-0, courtesy of a well-taken goal by Steven Magala. The win marked a promising start for Young Simba in the league.

Nantabulirwa FC Beat Seeta United.
Nantabulirwa FC secured a narrow 1-0 win over Seeta United FC, thanks to a 60th-minute strike from Shafik Mavuma. The goal was enough to give Nantabulirwa FC the three points.
Wobulenzi United Claimed a 2-0 Victory over Kajjansi United.
Wobulenzi United put on a solid performance, defeating Kajjansi United FC at Katikamu Vett playground. William Kinene and Benjamin Ssemango were the goal-scorers for Wobulenzi United, scoring one goal each to secure the win.

Masaka City Thumped Buikwe Red Stars.
Relegation-threatened Buikwe Red Stars FC suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat at home against in-form Masaka City. Akiram Massa opened the scoring for Buikwe Red Stars in the 12th minute, and Brian Henry Katamba doubled their lead five minutes later. Herbert Onenarach pulled one back for Masaka City in the 21st minute.
Muhammad Kasule leveled matters for Masaka City in the 28th minute. Kasule then took charge, scoring two more goals, including a hat-trick in the 40th and 63rd minutes. Joseph Kayondo sealed the victory for Masaka City in the 89th minute, with Kasule’s tally standing at 13 goals this season.

Buwambo United FC secured a 1-0 win over Nyendo Football Club, thanks to Enock Ssekatawa’s spot kick in the 32nd minute.
Simba FC Claimed Victory over Kira United.
Simba FC claimed a 2-1 victory over Kira United FC at Gayaza Namulonge Playground. Sam Ssemuggu gave Simba FC the lead two minutes after the restart of the second half, and Moses Kassaga doubled their lead in the 63rd minute. Kirumira Elias pulled one back for Kira United FC in the 79th minute, but Simba FC held on to secure the win.
