The Buganda Region League is heating up, with Simba FC making a statement in their do-or-die encounter against Buwambo FC.

The team from Namulonge Playground comfortably dispatched their opponents 3-0, with goals from Reagan Tigan Kirumira, Sam Ssemuggu, and Cyril Enos Ejoku. This victory solidifies Simba FC’s position at the top of the table, four points clear of Buwambo FC, who remain second with 32 points.

Simba FC’s forward Sam Ssemuggu has been on fire, taking his goal tally to 12 goals this season.

Meanwhile, Young Simba’s 1-0 loss to Masaka City was a major setback in their title chase. Joseph Enyabu’s 94th-minute strike handed Masaka City the win, leaving Young Simba in a precarious position.

Buwambo FC’s loss to Simba FC has also dealt a blow to their title hopes, and they’ll be hoping to bounce back strongly in their upcoming matches

In other matches, Wobulenzi United staged a late comeback, scoring two goals in the final 10 minutes to defeat Buikwe Red Stars 2-1. Benjamin Ssemango and Dillien Oscar scored the late goals for Wobulenzi United. Uganda Sports Arena emerged victorious against Kira United, thanks to Alfred Kasibante and Faizo Kiyega’s goals.

Kajjansi United also secured a 2-0 win over Manyangwa, with Nasulu Kagimu and Daudi Batega scoring for the home side.

Nyendo FC was in top form, thumping Super Eagles Lugongwe FC 6-1. Shakib Nyanzi scored a hat-trick, while Ali Lutwama netted a brace and Gerald Kagaba added to the tally. Seeta United FC suffered a 2-0 loss to Synergy FC, with Mike Katumwa scoring a brace for the visitors.

Nantabulirwa claimed a 3-1 victory over Kiboga United, with Galandi Fahad scoring a brace.
