Nabadda’s impressive performance in the Group D match between Benin and Botswana, where she officiated as the referee, earned her this recognition. Benin secured a 1-0 win, marking their first victory at AFCON in 15 matches.

Her ability to maintain control and composure in a high-pressure game was commendable, and it’s clear why she’s being rewarded with more responsibilities.

Her impressive performance has earned her a spot as the fourth official for the match between Gabon and Ivory Coast at Marrakech Grand Stade tomorrow.

The match officials for this exciting encounter are:

Referee: Omar Artan from Somalia

First Assistant: Liban Ahmed Abourazak from Djibouti.

Second Assistant: Abelmiro Negro Dos Reis from Sao Tome & Principle.

Nabadda’s appointment is a milestone, not just for herself, but for Ugandan football and African women in sports. She made history as the first female Ugandan referee to officiate at AFCON.

With her second appointment at AFCON, Nabadda continues to break barriers and inspire aspiring referees, especially women, across Africa.
