SC Villa Sign 22-Year-Old Attacking Midfielder Tonny “Zuzu” Asiku On Four-Year Deal
SC Villa have continued their squad rebuild with the signing of attacking midfielder Tonny “Zuzu” Asiku from Arua Airfield FC on a four-year contract.
The 22-year-old joins the Jogoos ahead of the 2026/27 season and becomes the club’s latest addition as they target a return to dominance in the Uganda Premier League.
Asiku made his name at Arua Airfield, where he built a reputation as one of the most creative young talents in the region. Known for his technique, vision and attacking instincts, he is expected to add depth and competition in Villa’s advanced midfield areas.
“Zuzu is comfortable operating behind the strikers and has the ability to link midfield to attack, create chances and contribute in the final third,” the club noted in its announcement.
The four-year deal underlines Villa’s faith in the player’s long-term potential. At 22, Asiku still has room to grow and will now get the chance to develop at one of Uganda’s biggest clubs.
He joins Isaac Gumperom and Steven Mugisha among the new faces at Wankulukuku this window, as head coach and technical team build a squad capable of competing for titles.
