Young Africans Sports Club will face TMA Stars in the CRDB Federation Cup quarterfinals tomorrow, seeking to maintain their momentum after a 7-1 thrashing of Tanzania Polisi last month.
Allan Okello, the Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder, Seems to have found his form with Yanga SC, grabbing a hat-trick of assists in their last NBC Premiership match against Pamba Jiji.
Okello warned that TMA Stars should not be underestimated, stating that this team has nothing to lose and that they must stay focused on their objectives.

Okello said that their opponents have nothing to lose in tomorrow’s match and that if they lose, it will definitely make headlines. He emphasized that football requires respect for every opponent and that the energy used against top-tier opponents should be used to make a difference.
Coach Pedro Goncalves emphasized the need for caution, saying, “We’re heading into a unique competition. Tomorrow we’re not just looking for points, we’re going for a win. Our opponents know that football has its surprises.”
Goncalves added, “I know many TMA players are aware that tomorrow is a big opportunity to showcase their skills. We must consider that, but we shouldn’t lose sight of our goals. We know they knocked out a top-league team, so they’re not a team to be taken lightly.”

The coach also stressed the importance of focus, stating, “We must play with effort and focus, no matter if we’re facing Al Ahly or TMA. If we’re not careful, we’ll put ourselves in a tough spot because our opponents have nothing to lose.”
“If we lose tomorrow, we’ll have lost the title. If we execute things properly, we have a good chance of winning the championship again,” Goncalves said, urging fans to come out in numbers to give his team a boost.
Yanga SC are looking to build on their recent success, having lifted the CRDB Federation Cup 2024-25 season title after defeating Singida Black Stars FC, with goals from Duke Abuya and Clement Mzize.
