Nkumba University Storms to 6-0 Victory Over Soroti in Pepsi University Football League
In a dazzling display of skill and teamwork, Nkumba University football team delivered a resounding 6-0 thrashing to Soroti University in yesterday’s Pepsi University Football League encounter.

The comprehensive win cements Nkumba’s position as a top contender in Group C, boasting six points from three matches.
The Cranes’ onslaught began in the 15th minute, courtesy of Kavuma Abbey’s electrifying opener. Bwiruka Solomon doubled the lead in the 31st minute, setting the stage for a commanding performance.

Captain Lubega’s thunderous free kick in the 35th minute and Abbey’s brace in the 37th minute sent Nkumba into halftime with a commanding 4-0 lead.
The second half saw no letup, as Substitute Kagimu Marvin converted a penalty kick to make it 5-0, followed by Nassar Mwebe’s clinical finish to seal the 6-0 victory.
Though defensive midfielder Okanya John was sent off in the 90th minute for a serious foul, Nkumba’s dominance was never in doubt.

Nkumba’s starting lineup featured Kazibwe, Tasumba, Lubega, Mukasa, Nabasa, Okanya, Opiro, Mukiibi, Kavuma, Bwiruka, and Mwebe, with Kiggundu, Kamya, Kaweesi, Kagimu, Makanga, Wangi, and Kiyimba on the bench.
Soroti’s lineup included Mugumya, Bambaga, Ojukuru, Anyama, Ekwamu, Amoru, Enangu, Tugume, Ssentamu, Ekadit, and Obenyo, with Lodu, Ssebatakula, Eliamu, and Osaka on the subs bench.
