“New Era Begins: Lugazi FC and Asubo Ladies FC Partner UP”

Lugazi FC and Asubo Ladies FC have indeed partnered for the 2025/26 season, with Lugazi FC adopting Asubo Ladies FC as their women’s football team and Asubo Ladies FC adopting Lugazi FC as their men’s football team.

Both clubs will maintain their brand identities.

Asubo Ladies FC

Founding: Asubo Ladies FC was established in 2012 as Gafford Girls Soccer Academy and has undergone several name changes.

They will compete in the FUFA Women Super League (FWSL) 2025-26 after earning promotion last season by topping Victoria Group with 29 points under Coach Ibrahim Kibumba despite losing 1-0 in the finals of the FUFA Women Elite League to St Noa Girls FC.

Last season in the FUFA Women Elite League Asubo won the silver medal and the fair play Award.

Former captain Katisi Desire holding the Fairplay Award she recently joined Kenya Police Bullets FC.

Last season in the Startimes Uganda Premier league they finished 13th on the table with 31 points from 30 matches .

Coaching Team

Steven Bogere and Francis Mugerwa serve as co-coaches and recently the club has welcomed new players, including Amos Etoju, Adam Mutesaasira, Okwalinga, Owachgiu, and Yusuf Mafabi.
