FIVE PLAYERS DEPART NEC FC AHEAD OF NEW SEASON

Bugolobi-based NEC Football Club has announced the departure of five players following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

The club confirmed the exits in an official statement, with three players leaving on mutual contract termination and two others exiting after their contracts expired.

Mutual Contract Termination

  1. Jackson Ssembatya
    The defender has already signed a two-year deal with Kitara FC.
    Ssembatya featured for Busiro and Ssingo in the prestigious Masaza Cup, and has also previously played for Kibuli United and Kisugu United.
  2. Siraje Ssentamu
    The experienced defensive midfielder joined NEC FC from Vipers SC, having previously turned out for URA FC.
    Ssentamu has recently been linked with a move to Express FC.
  3. Timothy Muwanguzi
    The midfielder joined NEC FC from Police FC but was sidelined for most of last season due to injury.

Expired Contracts

  1. Patrick Bayiga
    The defender, also a Kyadondo Ssaza player, joined NEC FC from Maroons FC.
    Several reports have recently linked him with a move to KCCA FC.
  2. Muzamiru Mutyaba
    The veteran midfielder arrived at NEC FC from Mbale Heroes.
    Mutyaba brings vast experience, having featured for Maroons FC, KCCA FC, Victoria University, Kiyovu Sports Club and several others during his career.

NEC FC thanked all five players for their contributions and wished them well in their next chapters.
