Mpigi District Football Association Kicks Off This Sunday with Exciting Matches
The Mpigi District Football Association is set to kick off its league season this Sunday with six thrilling matches scheduled to take place at various venues.

The weekend’s fixtures promise to be a great start to the season, with several former players-turned-coaches looking to make an impact in their new roles.
One of the most anticipated matches of the day is the encounter between Gombe Stars and Mpigi United at Mpigi Police Playground. Gombe Stars will be led by former Buddu Ssaza FC, Soltilo Bright Stars FC, and Nkana Red Devils left back Nkonge Ronald ‘Jajja’, who is making his coaching debut.

Nkonge, a seasoned defender known for his no-nonsense style of play, is eager to translate his experience into coaching success.
Having represented Uganda at various youth levels, Nkonge brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role, and fans are eager to see him showcase his skills as a coach.
Meanwhile, at Kyanja Playground, Kyanja United will host Watoto Soccer Academy, led by former St Mary’s Kitende forward Kasozi Kennedy. Kasozi, a prolific goal-scorer in his playing days, featured for top clubs like Vipers SC and Police FC, among others.

Kamengo United taking on Nsamizi Institute at Kamengo United Playground, Mawokota United visiting Kyagalanyi Football Club at Kibuye Playground, and Standard Warriors hosting Nakirebe Football Club at Musamude Playground.
