Thrills On Matchday 5 As Masaza Cup 2026 Delivers Drama Across Venues
Matchday 5 of the 2026 Masaza Cup produced thrilling encounters across all three groups, with late goals, first wins, and historic points headlining the action.
Masengere Group: Kyaggwe Hold Top Spot Despite Stalemate.
The highly anticipated clash between Gomba and Kyaggwe ended 1-1. Kato Julius Kalule put Gomba ahead in the 18th minute, but Kyomuhendo Peter equalized for Kyaggwe in the 33rd minute.
Mawokota were also held at home, playing out a goalless draw against a resurgent Ssese side.
Bulemeezi finally got off the mark, beating Busiro 1-0 away. Michael Onyango scored the only goal in the 11th minute to give the Ssaza their first win in five games.

Muganzirwaza Group: New Coach Kabonge Off To Winning Start.
At Mityana Saza Grounds, Ssingo edged Bugerere 1-0 thanks to a 61st-minute strike from Kazibwe Victor. It was the first win in charge for new coach Allan Kabonge, who was appointed days ago.
Kooki and Butambala played out a 0-0 draw at Kibibi SS Playground on Saturday, while Kabula and Mawogola shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
Bulange Group: Buddu Stay Perfect, Buluuri Get First Point
Buluuri picked up their first ever point in the Masaza Cup after a 1-1 draw with defending champions Buweekula. Kagga Kosea scored for Buluuri in the 46th minute, before Fred Tumusiime equalized for Buweekula in the 92nd minute.
The result means Buweekula are the first team this season to drop points against Buluuri.
At Kitovu Arena, Buddu continued their unbeaten run with a 2-1 win over Busujju. Black Stars FC attacking midfielders Peter Kaye and Ivan Agamire were on target for Buddu.
Coach Eric Kisuze’s side now top Bulange Group with 13 points from 5 matches.
Buvuma and Kyadondo also played out a 0-0 draw at Magyo Playground yesterday
