FUFA Big League: Kiyinda Took Catda To School, Bunyaruguru Registered Third Straight Win, Onduparaka , Young Elephants & Soltilo Bright Stars Registered Victories
The FUFA Big League commenced yesterday with five exciting matches played out at different venues, showcasing the best of Ugandan football. The matches were filled with goals, drama, and surprises, and here’s a breakdown of each encounter.

Soltilo Bright Stars FC Thumped Iganga United FC 4-2
Soltilo Bright Stars FC got off to a flying start, taking a 3-0 lead in the first half through Patrick Ouke’s 4th-minute strike, Safi Mansoor’s 38th-minute goal, and Opio Joel’s 42nd-minute strike.
Iganga United FC pulled one back nine minutes after the restart of second half through Sanyu Ashiraf, but Soltilo Bright Stars FC restored their three-goal cushion when Safi Mansoor completed his brace in the 81st minute. Iganga United FC scored a consolation goal through Simon Ouke in the 98th minute, but it was too little, too late.
Soltilo Bright Stars FC’s win sees them pick up valuable points in their quest for promotion.
Bunyaruguru United FC Registered Third Consecutive Win

Bunyaruguru United FC continued their winning streak, defeating their opponents Wakiso Giants FC 2-0 at Nyamambuka Playground. Gerald Ogweti was the hero for Bunyaruguru United FC, scoring both goals – one just before halftime and the other two minutes after the restart of the second stanza.
This win sees Bunyaruguru United FC climb to second place on the table with 21 points from 12 matches.
Kiyinda Boys FC Demolished Catda FC 5-0

Kiwenda Kiyinda Boys FC returned to winning ways, thrashing Catda FC 5-0 at Bertham City Recreational Ground. Kimera Michael opened the scoring in the 15th minute, and Jimmy Ndalambi doubled the lead three minutes after the restart of the second stanza.
Nicholas Senono, Brian Masembe, and Derrick Tendo added to Catda FC’s misery, scoring one goal each. This win is a welcome boost for Kiyinda Boys FC after their previous loss away to Paidha Black Angels SC.

At Nwoya playground Young Elephants FC Came from Behind to Win
Young Elephants FC came from a goal down to defeat Kataka FC 2-1 at Park. Kataka FC took the lead through Ali Ssentamu in the 28th minute, but Davidson Komaketch equalized for Young Elephants FC five minutes later.
The winner came four minutes to stoppage time when Isaac Gumperom scored, securing a thrilling win for Young Elephants FC.
Onduparaka FC Registered Thrilling Win

Onduparaka FC returned to winning ways, defeating Mbale Heroes FC 5-2 at Greenlight Stadium.
Simon Opolot opened the scoring for Onduparaka FC in the 8th minute, but George Akena equalized for Mbale Heroes FC seven minutes later. Brian Ade restored Onduparaka FC’s lead in the 20th minute and completed his brace in the 54th minute.

Yasin Dafala and Ade Brian added to Mbale Heroes FC’s misery, scoring one goal each. This win is a welcome boost for Onduparaka FC after losing their last two matches.
