FUFA Big League: Kiyinda Boys FC’s Misstep, Catda FC’s Desperation Sets In.

The FUFA Big League commenced yesterday with two intense matches that had fans on the edge of their seats, and the drama was palpable.

In a relegation battle that would determine the fate of one team, Catda FC hosted Wakiso Giants FC at Bugolobi Coffee grounds, and it ended in a heart-stopping 1-1 draw. The hosts took the lead early through Jeremiah Jabila Rwotho’s brilliant strike in the 10th minute, showcasing their attacking prowess.

However, Wakiso Giants FC fought back with Kakande Ssekito’s equalizer in the 65th minute, leaving the game wide open.

Catda FC, who are new entrants in the league, made a managerial shake-up, bringing in Richard Luyima, the former Proline FC coach, in a bid to turn their season around. Unfortunately, it didn’t yield the desired result as they lost their next match 1-0 to Kaaro Karungi.

With this draw, Catda FC finds themselves in a precarious position, stuck in the relegation zone with 27 points from 25 matches, sitting 13th on the table. It’s getting tough for the new entrants, and the pressure is mounting

Meanwhile, at Mbale Stadium, Mbale Heroes FC staged a remarkable comeback, drawing 2-2 with Kiyinda Boys FC. The visitors had taken a 2-0 lead in the 48th and 49th minutes, courtesy of Jimmy Ndalambi and Nicholas Luzige.

In the 59th minute Swabil Mpasa pulled one back for Mbale Heroes FC while 10 minutes to Stoppage Simon Achidi leveled matters for Mbale Heroes FC.

Despite the fight, Mbale Heroes FC’s chances of survival are dwindling, especially after being deducted three points for failing to honor their last fixture. It’s looking grim for them, and it will take a miracle to avoid relegation. On the other hand,

Kiyinda Boys FC dropped crucial points, hitting their promotional chances hard. They remain 7th on the table with 36 points from 25 matches, but the momentum seems to be slipping away.
