Kabaddi Earns Permanent USSSA Ball Games II Inclusion, Heads To FEASSSA
Kabaddi has made a strong case for itself after a standout demonstration in Gulu, where the sport was played as one of five disciplines during the USSSA Ball Games II demonstration.
The sport has now successfully secured permanent inclusion in USSSA Ball Games II starting from 2027.
USSSA President Justus Mugisha also confirmed that Kabaddi will join the upcoming East Africa Schools Games (FEASSSA) on demonstration.
2025 USSSA Ball Games II Kabaddi Champions
Kabaddi made its competitive debut at the 2025 USSSA Ball Games II and history was made.
In the boys category, St Barnabas College Migadde became the first ever school to win the title after edging Kyadondo SS 27-25 in the championship final.
In the girls category, Kyadondo Secondary School claimed the trophy after defeating St Barnabas, becoming the first female team to win the USSSA-organized edition.
Tournament Format
The Kabaddi championship featured 13 teams in both boys and girls categories.
The 7 teams in each category played a round robin, with the top two teams advancing to the final.
