Into a successive Semifinal, Bugerere dominantly ends Kyadondo journey with accurate penalties to set Kyaggwe in target.
In Buganda Masaza Cup, at Santana ground in Wampeewo on September 20, Bugerere were all the best team as they end Kyadondo great run in a 1-1 draw dominated by Bugerere and decided by accurate penalties 5-4 to reach consecutive semifinal.

With the first leg ending goalless, the tie went straight to penalties. Goalkeeper Salim Ssekamwa came off the bench in the third minute of added time to replace Man of the Match Julius Ssenyonjo. He proved the hero, saving Sam Ssemugugu’s spot-kick before stepping up to score the winning penalty himself.
Earlier, Osman Mayanja had equalized five minutes into the second half to cancel out Muluya Abaas’ opener. Abaas had given his side a 1-0 lead with a superb free-kick over the wall in the 15th minute.
Majorly, the game was decided by a technical masterclass from Steven Bogere and his backroom staff, who brilliantly shifted control of the game away from Kyadondo.

Kyadondo had the most chances to score, but goalkeeper Ssenyonga denied Kenneth Ssebaduka and Alex Kiyaga from free-kick attempts, while in the first half he denied Enock Ssekatawa and Pius Kaggwa on several occasions.
After the exciting game, Bogere noted, “Like I said, we are most dangerous when we are on the road. We eliminated them according to our plan because we knew that our keeper would save at least one penalty and we would concentrate on converting ours.”

Bugerere in semifinal will face Kyaggwe who eliminated Mawogola with 5-2 aggregate and wining 3-1 in return leg at Mukono Bishops SS on Sunday September 20.
Elsewhere Gomba reached semifinal despite a 1-0 loss to Buddu, they had the job done in the first leg when they won 3-0 in Kabulasoke which backed them to win 3-1 on aggregate.
In Semifinal they will face neighbours of Butambala, at Quarterfinal Butambala eliminated Busujju on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate with each of the team winning at home 1-0 started with Busujju who hosted the first leg.
