MOROGORO, Tanzania – Uganda’s Hamdan Islamic Nakifuma produced a dominant performance to beat Kenya’s Bukokholo Girls SS 68-44 and reach their first-ever FEASSA Netball final at the 2026 FEASSA Games.
The Ugandan school made a bold statement in the semi-final played in Morogoro, improving quarter by quarter to book a date with fellow Ugandans St. Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende.
Hamdan Islamic Nakifuma led 16-14 at the end of the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 31-25 by halftime.
The Mukono-based side continued to pull away in the third quarter, extending the lead to 15 goals at 48-33, before closing out the game strongly to win by 24 goals.
From Bronze in 2025 to Finalists in 2026
This is only Hamdan’s second appearance at the FEASSA Games. On their debut in Kenya last year, they finished third after losing in the semi-finals. That year, perennial absentees Buddo SS went on to lose the final to record champions St. Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende

This time, Hamdan will have the chance to go one better when they face Kitende in the final as they chase their first East African title.
Kitende remain the team to beat at the games, with 20 titles in 22 editions. They reached the final after defeating another Ugandan side, St. Noa Girls SS, Zana, 48-33 in a repeat of last year’s semi-final.
The all-Ugandan final is scheduled for Friday, August 21.
