FUFA Big League: Catda Football Club Have Sacked Their Head Coach.
Kampala-based Catda Football Club has confirmed the sacking of head coach George Best Nsimbe and his assistant Hamidu Kibirango, citing poor performance. The decision comes after a disastrous 5-0 loss to Kiyinda Boys FC, leaving fans and management questioning the team’s direction.

During his tenure, Nsimbe managed 13 matches, winning three, drawing seven, and losing two, with Lufula Boys currently sitting 10th on the table with 16 points.
The club’s decision to part ways with Nsimbe is hardly surprising, given the team’s underwashing performance in the FUFA Big League. Nsimbe, a seasoned tactician, was appointed head coach in August 2025, bringing experience from top clubs like KCCA, Express, Vipers, and Azam FC. His assistant, Hamidu Kibirango, had led Catda FC to FUFA Big League promotion, defeating Super Eagles Lugongwe 3-2 in the playoffs.

Nsimbe’s departure leaves a void in the team, and fans are eager to know who’ll replace him. The new coach will have a tough task ahead, steering Catda FC clear of relegation and maintaining their FUFA Big League status in their debut season. With a new coach on board, Catda FC will look to regroup and refocus on their league ambitions.
Catda FC is yet to announce their new head coach, and the wait is on for fans to see who’ll take the reins and lead the team forward. The club’s management is likely to consider several factors, including experience, tactics, and player management, when making their decision. One thing is certain – Catda FC will be looking for a fresh start and a new direction to turn their season around.
