Saturday’s matches kicked off with visitors Seeta United suffering a 2-1 loss to Kiboga United Sports Club at Kiboga Ssaza Ground. Seeta sits 10th on the table with 20 points, while Kiboga United’s win keeps them 14th with 11 points from 19 matches.

Synergy FC staged a thrilling comeback, claiming a 3-2 victory over Nantabulirwa FC away from home at St Joseph Balikudembe primary school playground. Fahad Galandi struck first for Nantabulirwa in the first minute, Martin Seguya doubled their lead in the 15th minute.

Synergy FC came from two goals down as Peter Mono pulled one back in the 31st minute, Charles Modi equalised seven minutes later while Mike Katumwa sealed their victory seven minutes after the restart of the second stanza.

This win saw Synergy FC move one place above sitting 11th on the table with 20 points from 19 matches while Nantabulirwa are in the relegation zone with 18 points 18 matches.

At Buikwe playground, visitors Manyangwa Football Club suffered a 3-0 loss to Buikwe Red Stars Football Club.

Olara Joshua scored for Buikwe in the 28th minute, Benon Muyinda doubled their lead in the 58th minute well as Emmanuel Munoobi sealed their victory in the 67th minute from a spot kick. Manyangwa Football Club dropped to the 11th place with 20 points while now sit on bottom of the table with seven points from 16 matches.

Mwerwerwe Mattuga playground, Kajjansi United Football lost 2-0 to Masaka City SC. Thanks to goals from Muhammad Kasule in 43rd and Ismail Ramtalla in 79th minute.

Muhammad Kasule took his tally to 14 goals this season. Masaka City SC sit fourth on the table with 35 points from 19 matches while Kajjansi United sit 8th on the table with 23 points from 18 matches.

On Wednesday, Uganda Sports Arena FC lost 2-1 to on-form Buwambo United FC at Buwambo Playground. Ssekatawa struck first for Buwambo in the 39th minute while Waswa Patrick doubled their lead in the 82nd minute.

Waswa Patrick was named the Buwambo United FC man of the match. Buwambo United’s victory moved them five points clear on the table ahead of second place Simba FC with 44 points from 19 matches.

Despite Simba FC having a match in hand, Buwambo United have now won four matches in a row since the second round commenced in the Buganda Region League, boosting their promotion chances.

At Kira Grounds, Kira United Football Club defeated Nyendo FC 3-1. Steven Mugisha scored for Kira United in the 15th minute while Nyanzi Shafiq doubled their lead eight minutes later taking his tally to eight goals this season.

In 54th minute Christopher Birungi pulled one back for Nyendo FC. Flying left-back Collins Ssemanda sealed their victory in the 70th minute. Kira United moved to fifth place with 32 points from 19 matches.

At Katikamu Vett playground, Wobulenzi United stunned Young Simba FC 3-2. William Kinene was the hero of the day scoring a hattrick for Wobulenzi in the 36th minute from a spot kick , 47th and 86th minute respectively.

Red hot Derrick Taremwa pulled one back for Young Simba FC in the 61st minute. Derrick Taremwa is currently the leading topscorer with 19 goals average a goal per match.

This loss hindered Young Simba FC’s promotional chances as they now sit third on the table with 38 points from 19 matches and this means they are seven points behind first placed Buwambo United FC. Wobulenzi United sit on seventh on the table with 28 points from 19 matches.

Buwambo United’s winning streak puts them in prime position for promotion, while Young Simba FC’s loss hinders their chances.
