Arsenal remain the benchmark when it comes to consistency in front of goal in Premier League history, holding the record for the longest run of scoring in consecutive league matches.

The Gunners found the net in 55 successive Premier League games between May 2001 and November 2002, setting a record that has stood for more than two decades.

Arsenal’s remarkable run began on 19 May 2001 and continued through 30 November 2002, with the North London club finding a way to score in every league match during the period.

The streak was not only about Arsenal’s ability to score at home. The club also produced a remarkable run on the road, scoring in 27 consecutive away Premier League matches.

The record underlines the attacking consistency of an Arsenal side that was establishing itself as one of England’s dominant forces at the turn of the century.

Liverpool Mount a Challenge

Liverpool have come closest to Arsenal’s record in recent years, putting together a 44-match scoring streak during the 2024–25 Premier League season.

Tottenham Hotspur also recorded an impressive 39-game scoring run in 2023–24, while Liverpool’s title-winning 2019–20 campaign included a 36-match scoring streak.

Manchester United also managed 36 consecutive Premier League matches with a goal during the 2007–08 season.

Other notable runs include Brighton’s 32-match streak in 2023 and Manchester City’s 29-game scoring run during the 2018–19 campaign.

The Benchmark

Despite the attacking quality displayed by some of the Premier League’s best sides over the years, Arsenal’s 55-match streak remains the standard.

For a team to score in every league match for more than a full season requires not only quality in attack, but also consistency, squad depth and the ability to find solutions against different opponents.

More than 20 years later, Arsenal’s record continues to stand as one of the Premier League’s most remarkable scoring achievements.
