BUL Football Club has confirmed Coach Alex Isabirye’s return as manager on a two-year renewable contract, effective immediately. He’s replacing Abbey Kikomeko Bogere, released 12 days ago. Isabirye’s first assignment is to salvage some positives and improve BUL FC’s performance in the Uganda Premier League, where they’re currently 12th with 10 points from 11 games.

Isabirye previously worked at BUL FC (2015-2016) and returned in 2021, leading them to a Uganda Cup title and first CAF Confederations Cup appearance. He later won a league and Uganda Cup double with Vipers SC. His managerial experience includes Nyamityobora, Kyetume, Busoga United, Tooro United, Express FC, Horseed (Somalia), and Buganda province team.
Isabirye’s return follows his November 2025 dismissal from URA FC after a poor start (8 points from 7 matches, 11th place). He managed 36 matches (17 wins, 9 draws, 10 losses).

Alex Isabirye’s first match back at the helm of BUL FC will be against Calvary on January 7, 2026. This crucial encounter will test Isabirye’s tactics and ability to turn the team’s fortunes around, given BUL FC’s current 12th-place position in the Uganda Premier League.
With a squad rejuvenation and new strategies, Isabirye aims to make a strong comeback and start a winning streak. The match is expected to be a tough one, but with Isabirye’s experience, BUL FC fans are hopeful for a positive result.
