AHIMBISIBWE BIDS EMOTIONAL FAREWELL TO KCCA FC: “FOREVER A KASASIRO BOY”

KCCA FC attacker Ivan Ahimbisibwe has penned an emotional farewell message to the club, the fans, and everyone at Lugogo as he closes a chapter in his career with the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions.
In a heartfelt open letter, the forward reflected on his time at the club, saying the love he received from day one is what he will remember most.
“From the first day I walked through those doors, I felt the love from my teammates, the coaches, everyone at the club, and especially the fans,” Ahimbisibwe wrote. “That love stayed with me through the goals, the celebrations, the difficult days, the goal droughts and the moments when the club itself was going through pain.”
The winger thanked the technical team for believing in him and pushing him to grow, not just as a player but as a person. He also had special words for the Kasasiro faithful who stood by him through both good and bad times.
“To the fans, thank you for loving me, supporting me, demanding more from me and making me feel at home. I will never forget that.”
Ahimbisibwe admitted his only regret was not winning silverware in yellow and blue.
“If there is one regret I leave with, it is that I did not win a trophy with this club. I wanted so badly to celebrate that moment with you.”
However, he said he departs with something just as valuable: memories and the pride of representing a club bigger than himself.
“But I leave with something just as valuable and that is the love, the memories and the feeling of having been part of something bigger than myself.”
He closed the letter with gratitude, declaring his bond with the club will never fade.
“KCCA FC will always be a special part of my story. You will always have a place in my heart. Forever grateful. Forever KCCA. Forever a Kasasiro Boy.” 💛💙
