A Chapter Closes: Allan Okello Bids Farewell to Vipers SC

In a heartfelt message, Ugandan midfielder Allan Okello has bid farewell to Vipers SC, the club he called home for the past two and a half years. Okello, affectionately known as ‘Ssaalongo’, expressed his gratitude to the club’s leadership, coaches, teammates, and fans for making his tenure a memorable one.
“After two and a half wonderful years, my time at Vipers SC has come to an end,” Okello said. “A heartfelt thanks to the club’s President Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, the management, all the coaches, my teammates, and of course you the venoms. Thank you for the experience of being a member of your big family. I’ve been very happy here, you’ve made me feel at home.”

Okello, who played a pivotal role in Vipers SC’s success, including winning the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup, said it was a pleasure and an honour to play for the club.
“It’s been both a pleasure and an honour to play for this club winning the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup and proudly earning the title ‘Ssaalongo’. I made the right choice.”
The 25-year-old midfielder leaves Vipers SC with wonderful and unforgettable memories, and is excited for the next chapter of his career.
“I take with me wonderful and unforgettable memories. I bid farewell very pleased with this chapter of my career, and I’m also excited for the next to begin.”

Okello is expected to join Tanzania Premier League side Yanga Africans SC, marking a new chapter in his football journey. Despite leaving Vipers SC, his loyalty to the club remains unwavering. “Thank you all and the very best of luck for the future. Come on, Venoms!!! Finish the remainder of the season strong. Once a Venom, Always a Venom ❤️💙”
