From Seremba’s Team Of The Season To Waibi’s Kenya Move: NEC FC Back For More From Kabale

NEC FC are closing in on their third signing from Kigezi Homeboyz FC, with attacking midfielder Tumwesigye Enock Amooti lined up for the 2026-27 Uganda Premier League season.
The Bugolobi-based side first tapped into the Kigezi Homeboyz market at the start of the 2025-26 campaign. Charles Moses Waibi and Joseph Seremba both made the switch from Kabale. Waibi made a handful of appearances before attracting interest from Kenyan side Nairobi United FC, while Seremba became an instant hit and earned a spot in the Uganda Premier League Team of the Season.

Tumweisgye Enock in action
Now 12 months later, NEC are back at the same well. Enock finished last Big League season with 6 goals and 7 assists and was voted Kigezi Homeboyz’s Best Midfielder. His creativity and versatility were central to the club securing promotion to the UPL.
From Kaaro Karungi to the Top Flight
The Isingiro native joined Kigezi Homeboyz in February 2025 on a two-year deal from Kaaro Karungi FC. Comfortable with both feet and capable of playing across midfield, the former Kaaro Karungi captain quickly became one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in the region.

Born in Omukashansha, Kabugu, Kabuyanda Sub-county, Isingiro West, Enock built his reputation in the Ankole District Tournament where he scored goals for fun. He also turned out for Nyamitobora FC earlier in his career.
If completed, the 2026-27 deal would be more smart business from a club that clearly knows where to find UPL-ready talent.
