Two UPL Sides Have Shown Interest In Calvary FC’s Forward.

Two Uganda Premier League sides are now chasing Calvary FC forward Lawrence Olaboro. After missing out on Isaac Gumperom, BUL FC and Entebbe UPPC FC have turned their attention to the prolific striker. Olaboro’s name is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about in this transfer window.

Olaboro was key to Calvary FC’s promotion from the FUFA Big League to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

2024-25 FUFA Big League- MVP

The former Soroti City forward scored 12 goals as Calvary won the 2024/25 Big League title. His impact earned him the 2024/25 Most Valuable Player award.

He carried that form into the top flight. Last season in the UPL, Olaboro netted 8 goals. That record proved he can deliver against tougher opposition and raised his profile even higher.

The interest from BUL and Entebbe UPPC comes after both clubs failed to land Gumperom. With the new season close, they need attacking reinforcements urgently. Olaboro offers experience in both the Big League and UPL, plus a proven goalscoring record.

Calvary FC now face a tough decision. They must either keep their star man for the survival fight, or cash in while his value is high.
