The third round of the Kampala Region League got underway over the weekend, with teams vying for the top spot and others fighting for survival. Here’s a breakdown of the matches:
Championship Contenders Clash.
At MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo, Proline Football Club took on Black Stars FC, and it was a convincing 3-1 win for Proline FC, ending Black Stars’ eight-match unbeaten run. Katete Brian scored a brace, while Barasa Dickson, a student from Buddo SS, scored his debut goal for Proline FC. This win has Proline FC closing the gap at the top of the table.

PCCP FC Claimed Victory
At Kassanga playground, PCCP FC secured a 2-0 win over Born Talent FC, showcasing their resurgence in form.
Relegation Battle Intensified
In the relegation battle, Lufula SC drew with Water FC at Express Kanyanya playground, while Lukuli Hearts FC thumped Lungujja Galaxy FC 5-0.

Kisugu UTD comfortably defeated Nsambya SC 3-1 in the Makindye Derby.

At East High Ntinda Playground, Wembley Boys FC edged Police Young Football Club 2-1.
