UPL: Match Officials Confirmed For Vipers SC Vs Kitara FC Showdown.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed the match officials for today’s highly anticipated Uganda Premier League encounter between Vipers SC and Kitara Football Club.

Despite facing criticism on various social media platforms, the appointed referees have been retained, with Ssemere Asadu leading the team as the central referee. Asadu Ssemere has been in charge of several high-profile Uganda Premier League fixtures and is expected to bring his expertise to this crucial match.

Asadu Ssemere will be responsible for enforcing the Laws of the Game in cooperation with other match officials.

FIFA Assistant Referee- Katenya Ronald

FIFA Assistant Referee from Eastern Uganda, Ronald Katenya, has been designated as the first assistant, while Musisi Brianson has been assigned as the second assistant referee. Both Katenya Ronald and Musisi Brianson are FIFA-certified Assistant Referees with continental experience, and a high level of performance is expected from them.

FIFA Referee Shamirah Nabadda will serve as the fourth official, responsible for controlling and reporting any irresponsible behavior by technical area occupants. The match assessor for this encounter is Mr. Brian Miiro Nsubuga.

Both teams have momentum heading into this match, having progressed to the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup. Vipers SC eliminated NEC FC, while Kitara FC eliminated Express FC in their previous matches. Kitara FC are currently unbeaten in their last 12 matches across all competitions, sitting second in the table with 46 points from 21 matches.

They will look to close the gap on leaders Vipers SC, who sit atop the table with 50 points from 21 matches, four points clear ahead of Kitara FC. The seven-time Uganda Premier League champions will look to stretch their lead at the top of the table.
