Ugandan Stars Shine Bright Across Global Leagues

The weekend was filled with thrilling performances from Ugandan footballers plying their trade in various leagues around the world, highlighted by crucial goals from Steven Desse Mukwala, Uche Mubiru Ikpeazu, and James Bogere. From Tanzania to Tunisia, and England to Ethiopia, these players showcased their skills and contributed to their teams’ successes.

Tanzania

Allan Okello played 55 minutes for Young Africans Sports Club in a 5-0 thrashing of JKT Tanzania in the NBC Premier League on Wednesday.

Khassim Mugoya was an unused substitute for TRA United in a 4-1 victory over Fountain Gate on Thursday.

Kenya

Mustapha Kizza featured for Nairobi United in a 1-1 draw with Bandari away from home on Wednesday. Titus Ssematimba and Waibi Charles Moses started on the bench for Nairobi United on Wednesday.

Bronson Nsubuga Sserumira replaced Brian Olega in the 69th minute, contributing to Shabana’s 1-0 win over Mathare United FC on Wednesday. He was also introduced in the 63rd minute for Shabana FC in a 5-1 loss to AFC Leopards on Friday.

Batambuze Shafik featured for Kakamega Homeboyz in a 1-1 draw with Ulinzi Stars on Thursday.
