KCCA FC made a strong start, with Saidi Mayanja scoring an early opener in the fifth minute, cleverly placing the ball into the back of the net from Sammy Ssebaduka’s precise cross. NEC FC responded with a series of attacks, but KCCA FC’s defense held firm, and they went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, NEC FC came out with a renewed sense of purpose, and they equalized in the 52nd minute through substitute Titus Ssematimba, who headed home Waibi Charles Moses’ silky cross.
