Football Classroom Makes a Resounding Statement in Stanbic Uganda Cup Opener
A Convincing 5-0 Victory Over KAYDA SC
In a thrilling opening match of the Stanbic Uganda Cup, Football Classroom, a non-league side composed of retired footballers, journalists, and football administrators, made a resounding statement by thrashing Makindye Fifth Division side KAYDA SC 5-0 at the Yes Centre Nsambya.

Led by Masaza Cup-winning coach Felix Ssekabuzza, Football Classroom showcased their prowess and quality, leaving no doubt about their intentions in the tournament.
A Promising Start to the Campaign
The match was a one-sided affair, with Football Classroom dominating possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Amuli Mukasa struck first for Football Classroom in the 7th minute, assisted by Yiga Steven.
Steven Yiga doubled Football Classroom’s lead with a powerful shot in the 28th minute, assisted by Marvin Kabito. Yiga Steven continued his excellent form, scoring the third goal for Football Classroom, completing his brace, and making it 3-0 at halftime.

Yiga Steven’s Hat-Trick Seals Victory
The second half saw Football Classroom continue their attacking prowess, with Yiga Steven completing his hat-trick in the 80th minute, making the score 4-0. James Kaye assisted the goal, and Football Classroom was in cruise control. Three minutes to stoppage time, Simmone Sevvume sealed Football Classroom’s victory, scoring the fifth goal.
Experienced Squad Makes the Difference
Football Classroom’s squad boasted some experienced players, including Amuli Mukasa, who featured for FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys Football Club, and Sula Mpanga, a former Maroons Football Club defender. Notably, Lugazi FC owner, Abdul Mwanje Kawulu, captained Football Classroom today, showcasing his leadership skills and experience.

Looking to Go Deep into the Tournament
Last season, Football Classroom made it to the round of 64, only to be eliminated by FUFA Big League side. However, with their performance today, they have signalled their intentions and will be looking to go deep into the tournament.
