While some teams enjoyed triumphant victories, others were left languishing in the disappointment of dropped points. In a league that’s heating up by the day, every point counts, and the margin between success and failure is razor-thin.
At Seeta Church of Uganda playground, Seeta United Football Club’s hopes of racking up a much-needed win were dashed as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Manyangwa Football Club.

The hosts had taken an early lead through Owen Mawejje’s 19th-minute strike, but Manyangwa FC refused to buckle, equalizing in the 70th minute through Mwanga Ramathan.
It was a cruel blow for Seeta, who had been looking sharp and were made to pay for their missed chances.
Meanwhile, Young Simba were in imperious form at Bombo Military Barracks ground, thrashing Uganda Sports Arena 4-0.

Abantu Herbert’s early strike set the tone for a ruthless performance, and Sunday Mandit’s 61st-minute goal sealed the win. Abdullah Kakejje and Derrick Taremwa added to the Sports Arena’s misery, and things got worse for the visitors as Hassan Waswa was sent off for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.
In other matches, Buwambo United claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Synergy at Ndeeba Kayunga playground, thanks to Enock Ssekatawa’s 26th-minute goal. It was a crucial three points for Buwambo, who are looking to make a statement in the league.

However, title contenders Kira United FC were made to sweat as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Nantabulirwa Football Club. Nantabulirwa FC had taken the lead through Fred Kaweesa, but Shafik Nyanzi’s 65th-minute equalizer ensured Kira United FC dropped two points at home.
In the day’s other matches, Masaka City SC left it late to claim a 1-0 victory over Wobulenzi United Football Club, thanks to Eria Kiyemba’s 92nd-minute strike at Nyendo Masaka playground.
