Thrilling Encounter Unfolds: Catda FC Edge Out Kaaro Karungi FC 3-2 in FUFA Big League Thriller
In a pulsating match played at the Bugolobi Coffee grounds, Catda FC emerged victorious, defeating Kaaro Karungi FC 3-2 in a five-goal thriller. The match was a true spectacle, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination.
Tevin Kyeyune gave Catda FC the perfect start, scoring an early goal in the 15th minute. However, Kaaro Karungi FC refused to back down and equalized just two minutes later through Muhammad Yeba. As the first half drew to a close, Kyeyune Kevin restored Catda FC’s lead, sending the team into halftime with a narrow 2-1 advantage.
The second half was just as intense, with Tumusiime Ronald netting his first goal of the match and Catda FC’s third goal, seemingly sealing the win for his team. However, Kaaro Karungi FC refused to give up, and Walter Rubangakene scored a crucial second goal for his team from the spot.
Despite their best efforts, Kaaro Karungi FC fell short, and Catda FC held on to secure a hard-fought 3-2 victory.
The win was marred by the sending off of Jeremiah Jabela Rwothomio and Catda FC Assistant Coach Kibirango Hamidu, who were both ejected from the game for violent conduct and use of abusive language, respectively.
The 10-man Catda FC team will look to build on this win, while Kaaro Karungi FC will aim to regroup and bounce back stronger.
