SC Villa Closes Gap On Leaders Police FC.
SC Villa has won their fourth match in a row. In their latest match, played yesterday at FUFA Kadiba Stadium, SC Villa hosted Bugolobi-based side NEC FC and won 2-1.

The match was evenly contested in the first half, with both teams going into halftime with a 0-0 scoreline.
However, SC Villa took control in the second half, with attacking midfielder Najib Yiga scoring the opening goal just two minutes after the restart. Midfielder Elvis Ngondwe sealed the win with a goal three minutes into stoppage time.
NEC FC’s pacy winger James Jarieko pulled one back in the 92nd minute, but it was too little, too late.

The 17-time Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa have now won four matches in a row:
- SC Villa 2-1 NEC FC
- SC Villa 1-0 Kitara FC
- Buhimba 0-3 SC Villa
- SC Villa 2-1 Police FC
SC Villa will return to action on the 25th of this month, traveling to Bombo Military Barracks ground to face UPDF FC.
With yesterday’s victory, SC Villa has moved up to second place on the table with 13 points after six rounds, just one point behind first-placed Police FC, with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, last season’s runners-up NEC FC have lost their second match in this campaign, managing just one victory against Mbarara City FC, with three draws.
They currently sit 12th on the table with just six points from six matches. NEC FC remains winless under Coach Kaddu Badru Mukasa, who has been in charge for two matches.
NEC FC will return to action on the 25th of this month, hosting Calvary Midigo FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.
